The Communications team is responsible for telling the Airbnb story around the world. Whether it's speaking to media and bloggers, hosts and guests, industry commentators, thought leaders or the wider community, the Communications team is the voice of Airbnb. This position will be based in Airbnb's Singapore office, where you will report to the Head of Communications and work closely with the communications team across the region. 
With so much going on in so many places, we need an organisational and administrative superhero to keep everyone on the right track. You need to be meticulously organised and detail-oriented, but can also see the big picture and make judgements about priorities whenever needed. 

The individual should also be a strong writer and clear communicator. Lastly, this candidate should have a passion for the travel space and a thirst for engaging in developing creative campaigns and initiatives to develop communications agendas. 

  • Acting as "air traffic control" for the APAC Communications team - ensuring that deadlines for reporting and tracking are being communicated and met and that calendars and planners are updated
  • Tracking budgets and expenditure in our central systems - creating and managing purchase orders, invoices and regular reports
  • Daily advanced calendaring and meeting preparations (meeting agendas, conference/video call meeting setups, etc.) for the Head of Public Relations, Head of Public Affairs and the wider team
  • Develop written materials: pitches, Q&A's and presentations
  • Research current media, travel, policy and lifestyle trends and identify opportunities for regional initiatives
Requirements apply
  • 1-2 years experience in Public Relations
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in managing projects in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent English writing skills, with samples to share
  • Unwavering verbal communications skills (English)
  • Maintaining enthusiasm and calm demeanor in stressful situations
  • Ability to work with international teams and quickly develop an understanding for the cultural differences
  • Passion for Airbnb and the mission of the company
