 Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started.Facebook is seeking a talented and highly motivated attorney to join the APAC Legal team as Lead Counsel, Southeast Asia. You will be supporting Facebooks APAC operations advising internal clients on issues relating to a broad range of subject matter including legal and regulatory issues and work closely with colleagues across the global legal team as well as public policy, communications, finance, sales and marketing. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively while driving decision-making in a constantly evolving legal environment. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, good judgment and ability to work both cross-functionally and independently, as the situation may require. This is a full-time position based in Singapore. 

  • Work collaboratively across the global legal team, as well as public policy, communications, finance and sales & marketing teams, to advise on legal and regulatory matters in Southeast Asia
  • Work closely with the public policy team on developing regulations across the region that could affect Facebook
  • Advisory and project management responsibility with respect to a broad range of legal subjects including corporate structuring, regulatory, cybersecurity and general commercial advice
Mininum Qualifications: 

  • 8 or more years of relevant legal experience
  • J.D. or L.L.B. or equivalent degree and good standing in a bar association
  • Keen understanding of the various legal frameworks across Southeast Asia, experience engaging with regulators is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience advising clients on a wide variety of subject matter, including corporate and regulatory issues.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, ability to work well with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated experience navigating stakeholders through highly ambiguous situations
  • Exercise excellent judgment and provide practical solutions
  • Open to travel as and when required
  • Compensation based on experience and includes equity compensation
